Objectives:

The aim of the course is to give the participants basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to administer safe and effective first aid in a wind turbine environment.

Content:

Upon completion of the course, delegates will have achieved skills and basic knowledge of:

• The importance of carrying out first aid in a safe manner in accordance with local legislative requirements and according to European Resuscitation Council and American Heart Association guidelines.
• Signs and symptoms of injuries and illness related to the human body.
• Correct management of an emergency situation in a wind turbine environment.
• Primary and secondary survey.
• Correct use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
• Correct use of first aid equipment in a first aid scenario.

Admission Requirements:

• All participating shall be medically fit

Validity:

24 months

12 participants maximum
